Key Dates:
- Deadline to Enter: Participants must submit their entries by November 5, 2023.
- Fundraiser Duration: The Adopt-a-Family fundraiser will run from November 15, 2023, to December 30, 2023.
Participant Anonymity: Participants must use their real information to apply for this program but have the option to remain anonymous for the actual fundraiser itself. Those who prefer to remain anonymous will be assigned a fictitious name to protect their identity.
Donation Collection: Donations will be collected exclusively through our website’s secure donation form. To enhance transparency, the online donation form will feature the name of the “family” associated with each contribution. This allows us to track and allocate the funds contributed to each family’s car repair needs.
Fund Allocation: It’s important for participants to understand that funds raised through the Adopt-a-Family fundraiser will primarily go toward covering the repair costs for their vehicles. However, in cases where a family’s repair expenses are fully covered and there is surplus money, this excess amount will be directed into our general repair program fund. This ensures that any extra contributions continue to benefit other families in need of automotive assistance.
Program Limitations: While we are dedicated to assisting families in maintaining safe and reliable vehicles, there are certain limitations to our program. Specifically:
- We do not cover the costs of transmission or engine replacements.
- Our service area is limited to Lexington and Richland counties within South Carolina. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend our services beyond these geographical boundaries at this time.
